One Murder Made a Villain, Millions a Hero. Numbers Sanctified The Crime?
It won't sit right, not when you see the devastation, how could it ever sit right? The media have been complicit in the extermination of generations. Now they are set to help sacrifice so many more...
As the nazi’s, sorry the IOF, prepare to build their ‘humanitarian’ death camps, the media continue to obscure the realities of the daily struggle of the people of Palestine. This all takes place in the context of a fully fledged genocide that continues to expand across the West Bank and the occupied territories.
In 1759, a classics scholar named Beilby Porteus published a prize-winning work titled “Death: A Poetical Essay”, commenting on the discrepancies in how society treats individual deaths compared to mass deaths, mass deaths that so easily seem to be swept under the carpet, and ‘normality’ soon resumed…
The title of the article comes from this scholar's work.
The mass extermination witnessed for many means things cannot and will not be the same again, none more so than the Palestinians themselves.
A manufacturing of consent not only takes place when it comes to generating consent for war, it comes when attempting to pacify or generate consent from people for genocide.
Be it the excuses of Al-Qaeda and the pushing through of the Patriot Act after 911 to weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, bringing forward regime change, or ISIS, the excuse to enter Syria, the lies about Col. Muammar Al-Qadaffi and intervention in Libya leading to lynchings of hundreds and slaughter of thousands more, or the plethora of other excuses used in intervention, war, and genocide across the globe.
If genocide is not regarded as the most pressing issue facing humanity today, what could ever be deemed serious enough to warrant urgent reporting? What justification exists for nations and individuals to stay silent? We often hear people say that if they lived during World War II, they’d have spoken up and out about the exterminations in the death camps, so why not now?
When we understand statecraft, we recognise the theatrics and the delicate balances that each nation must navigate at the nation-state level. However, if anything necessitates action from the nation-state down to the collective communities, it is this.
Just how much “impartiality” can there be? What Is This Mythical Creature of impartiality of the BBC in the context of genocide?
If you’re still impartial during a genocide, then you should ask yourself some serious questions. In the minds of some, those killed become a number, a mere statistic, but they are more than a number; they always have been.
Reducing people to just a statistic, people with hopes, dreams, family, and friends, all play into the dehumanising aspect of the mainstream reporting on Palestine and the maintaining of the establishment line, especially at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), but not exclusive to it.

Did you know that the UN called Gaza “the only defined territory in the world where the entire population is at risk of famine” and “the hungriest place on earth”?
Well, if you watch the BBC solely for your information, probably not.
You may see an article on their site or a half-arsed report on TV, the urgency of a genocide seemingly lost on the hosts and those in the background.
So why does it keep happening, especially in today's world?
Skipping over the masses of people under the jackboot of the IOF like a simple weather report, the blatant double standards are highlighted by the death of celebrities who receive wall-to-wall coverage.
In a world of celebrity worship and cults of personality, it begins to grate on you. When you see the name of one footballer who has died, and the story is being run with back-to-back coverage, while hundreds, if not thousands, die in Palestine every week.
You can’t help but ask the question: how? How is that normal for a supposed healthy society?
How is one person's death, no matter who they are, more important than the countless being mown down across Palestine? Not just Palestine, but also in Sudan, Iran, Syria, Kashmir, Lebanon, and Myanmar.
If it’s not continuous coverage of a personality, it’s trivial, unimportant topics, or the tedious reporting on Wimbledon and other sports, or entertainment, all serving as a distraction.
Artists such as Kneecap and Bob Vylan came out and said the stories are not Glastonbury; it’s Palestine. They said it best. Using their platforms, they have echoed the cause of Palestine, the struggle of the people, and that is what it’s all about. A voice of the voiceless!
And of course, the BBC, the British establishment they censored the artist, they censored the journalist, and the activist. When they come for you, you will have said they were right.
Direct action group Palestine Action labelled ‘terrorist organization’. Activists arrested in London, and numerous others have been arrested since.

Attempts by politicians and parties to rebrand themselves, along with their promises of change and action, ring hollow; there is no possibility of rehabilitating this system.
The façade of this so-called "democracy" has become transparent; the masses are beginning to see through it. And Palestine was a catalyst to the breaking down of these illusions for many across the UK and Ireland.
Some continue to hold on to the belief in the benevolence and assistance of government. The world is evolving. We are entering a new era, and we must acknowledge it as such.
Although not fast enough, people are slowly waking up to the seriousness of the issues in the world, as it very much pertains to the situation at home. A geopolitical situation that will continue to seep into everyday life at home. No more can we see things in isolation from one another; it’s all connected.
The poison emanates from the rot. From the roots of the foundations of the old colonial powers establishments that were built upon the injustice of conquest and dominion over others, of genocide, and of devastation, from India to Ireland, oozing into the modern day, like a cancer. Neocolonialism is alive and well.
Establishment figures desperately attempt to distract and obscure. Daily, they tell people it’s in their interest, “we are remilitarizing for you,” it’s “for security”, and it’s “for prosperity,” a wartime “dividend” as Kid Starver Keir Starmer puts it, the seriousness of which can’t be overstated.
These establishments have not and have never had the betterment of the people at heart; they are there to maintain the status quo and their positions.
Call me harsh, but any politician who truly meant what they said wasn’t a politician, or they ended up in an early grave.
And the Western powers are making their moves, at home and abroad.
The governments in the West are slowly removing their gloves in preparation for the transition from peacetime to wartime society. I have written a couple of other articles on NATO, the UK, and the US’s preparations for future conflict, if you’d like to know more. You can find the articles in the newsletter.
Clamping down on activists and openly speaking of war-type scenarios in the next few years, pushing through legislation criminalising activist groups for no other reason than opposing genocide. Claims of state agents operating on the ground suggest more ways to criminalise dissenting voices. All in an attempt to curtail discontent, crush dissent, and silence the voices of the struggle.
Just as the US did with the Uhru three activists, ordinary people standing up to speak out were labeled “agents of a foreign government.” The activists, part of the African People’s Socialist movement, were arrested and held for speaking out on US foreign policy. Silenced through criminalisation.
"Never let a crisis go to waste" - Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky
A switch from peacetime economy to wartime economy doesn’t just mean changes in industry; it forebodes major changes in law, social dynamics, and ultimately people’s lives.
When Palestine is in the news, the urgency once displayed by presenters disappears, scrutiny is brought down upon those speaking on behalf of Palestinians, the dehumanisation and sterilisation of the reports occur, although there has been a slight change in the reporting of the genocide, its just not enough and the people making editorial decisions aimed at censoring and silencing the voices of Palestine still very much at the helm.
The Ukraine situation alongside that of Palestine highlighted, at least for me and I am sure many others, the huge discrepancies in how the mainstream media and Western establishments treat particular struggles and certain people compared to others. In Ukraine, two opposing conventional armies stand off, one with the full backing of the US and wider Europe.
In Palestine, a guerrilla army fights to defend its people from a systematic extermination by a far more advanced military that is using conventional means and technology.
It's because there is a huge discrepancy in how mainstream media treat these situations; this is in line with their establishments, which treat certain people and certain situations differently according to how they are perceived and how it can best serve their needs at the time.
The considerations are initially focused on what is best for interested parties, such as the British government, which is usually aligned with the intelligence apparatus and the financiers and vultures of capital.
The ingrained racism and need to conquer of the old colonial powers have not yet diminished. None of the core issues having ever truly been addressed, the tendencies of dominion and conquest, and supremacy have been carried on into the 21st century like a banner aloft.
When white Ukrainians asked for help, the doors to Ireland, the UK, and Europe were opened, but when the need arose to bring people in from further afield, those not of the correct colour or religion, it seemed far too much of a task.
At home, we have the same people who would support a genocide in Palestine, aiming their venom at the minorities in our own countries, attempting to divide the working class along racial lines, working on behalf of the establishment, whether they know it or not.
It becomes clear that the world is in a state of flux, a transition, and the turmoil is all part of it.
How different migrations of people are reported on is stark; the difference in reporting on white Ukrainians compared to that of non-white people seeking refuge was blatant, and it was disgraceful.
It doesn’t mean we need to be disheartened, as it has brought the best out in people, too.
We must take hope in the solidarity and camaraderie that bring us together as things slowly decline and more upheaval comes, communities standing united will be in far better positions than those that are not.
We must unite as communities and as principled individuals against the abhorrent nature of a system that seeks to exploit the masses for the benefit of a select few.
A system that stokes genocide and promotes war. A system that propagates division and disunity, a system dead set on getting its way, but a system that faces the rising tides of the masses’ discontent across the globe.

The Natives Were Always Expendable…
When the British army started to pull out most of their troops from Afghanistan and Iraq after their disastrous occupations, those who aided them – translators, agents, and all of the above – were all but told to look after themselves. As much as this was traitorous on their part, it was the British moves that shone the light on the true nature of the beast, as those of Afghan citizenship were all but told to look after themselves.
Thrown to the wind by the British top brass and politicos to answer for the crimes of those they served. Ultimately, many found their demise by being complicit in the crimes of the occupation forces; it was all but guaranteed after the collaboration with the imperialist powers, no matter personal intentions. Yes, some people found life in Britain; most found an early grave in their homelands.
My point is that for centuries, the colonial powers considered the native inhabitants from foreign lands across the globe to be expendable, a “problem” to be solved, as it furthered the empire's interests. Interests in which the considerations of the natives were thrown to the side.
In contemporary times, we have examples such as the ones above. We now witness the culmination of centuries of supremacist colonial conquest of foreign lands, alongside the toxic ideologies that fuelled it, merging into the transnational imperialist colonial predicament we face today.
A system built upon ingrained racism, a superiority complex, and the blood of millions, now with a “friendly” face, the facades of “democracy, human rights, and justice” sprinkled in with a little bit of double-speak about international law.
Same old bullsh*t, different day. There’s a reason the British and the US establishments have such close bonds with Israel, apart from the key roles played in the formation of the Zionist entity by the British and the support of the US through the century: they all play from the same playbook, and they are all cut from the same cloth.
It’s just Israel in the open, wilfully partakes in extermination, just as the British did before, dropping all pretence of “international law”, continuing the process of dislodging the native populations, and openly committing what can only be described as genocide.

Not only do the Israeli soldiers, private military contractors, or civilian contractors partake in the genocide, but criminal elements from within Gaza communities are being supported by the occupation to cause discord and disorder, sowing division among the people.
No room for argument: this is a genocide, a systematic extermination of an entire population, the dislodging and destruction of the fabric of that society. If anyone had any misgivings about this, look at the plans that were drawn up with the help of war criminal Tony Blair and the Blair Institute for a “Trump Riviera” in the Gaza Strip.
The US and Israel have put on a first-class show of the true nature of imperialism and neocolonialism. Creation of production lines of death and the planned camps, in the next phase of the extermination.
These people are psychopaths, and this is a genocide.

Any talk of “ceasefire” has usually come to mean a new phase in the extermination process. A carrot-and-stick approach is nothing but a sadistic, cynical move. As talks take place, the to and fro of the will they, won't they is like torture; imagine living in Gaza now and seeing this farce.
What must those people be thinking, as Satan himself sits with Trump wining and dining as his underlings speak about the new plan to outshine the Nazis with the coming introduction of ‘humanitarian’ death camps?
A camp, I am sure, will put Treblinka to shame. This camp will be manned by the equivalent of the Nazi SS. American and other private military contractors, contracted as exterminators, as witnessed in the evidence provided on the ‘humanitarian distribution points’ thus far.
The phrase "never again" should have meant exactly that!
