The British PM is NO 'Champion' For Human Rights & Donald Trumps "Deal of the century" Echoes from Past.
So called 'leaders' remain silent as British media continue to obfuscate the truth around Israel's continued genocide & its expansion across the occupied territories.
The campaign in Gaza was brutal without a doubt; the occupation for its whole existence has been a scourge on Palestinian people, but the memories of the catastrophe, the Nakba, are again being relived in a widespread genocidal campaign that continues to expand.
So far, since Israel's announced launching of its offensive into Jenin and Tulkarem, 40,000 people have been reported to have been displaced. These numbers are thought to be much higher.
Today, 25.02.2025, Israeli forces once again stormed Nablus, opening fire on residents of the community; one man has now been confirmed to have been killed in this attack. That brings the number of those killed by Israel in the occupied West Bank to 924 people. But all we have is silence from Western media and those that claim to be ‘leaders,’ serving “bastions” of human rights, a narrative that falls awful flat nowadays.

Many people have been detained, and others cut down in cold blood. In data provided by the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), it shows that illegal Israeli settlers on average committed violence against the Palestinian populace four times a day throughout 2023. Excluding attacks by occupation forces themselves.
“Israel wants to erase the camps and the memory of the camps, morally and financially; they want to erase the name of refugees from the memory of the people,” said 85-year-old resident Hassan al-Katib.
On Sunday the Israeli occupation announced it will expand upon its operations, with the moving of Israeli tanks into the West Bank "for the first time" since 2002. Only last week did the Israeli government greenlight expansion plans for the Efrat settlement southwest of Jerusalem.
Not only this, but Israel has continued its violations of the agreements, be they in Gaza or in Lebanon. Airstrikes, restrictions on movement, and continued violence against the people. Upward of 100 people have been reported to have been killed by Israeli forces throughout the enacting of this deal. The 60,000 portable homes that were set for the Gaza Strip have been held at the land crossings throughout in violation of the agreement.
This is now again in light of the sad news surrounding babies passing from the harsh conditions they have been subjected to because of the continued siege and the destruction of the infrastructure. People are struggling to find adequate shelter from the elements and more are dying because of it.
It’s thought now that upwards of 600,000 people have made their way to the north of the Gaza Strip. For days after the agreement occupations stopped many from returning later pulling out and letting the people return home.
“Before going to the next step, we have to be sure that the past step, which was releasing 620 prisoners, is already completed.”
“Netanyahu is clearly sending strong messages that he is intentionally sabotaging the deal; he is preparing the atmosphere for returning back to the war.” said Naim, of Hamas’s political bureau.
Prior to Hasan Nasrallah's funeral, Israel struck eight locations in Lebanon. During his funeral, Israeli jets harassed the crowds, flying low and slow overhead again in attempts at terrorizing the populace who remained and who paid respects to the towering figure of Nasrallah, a figure that stood in the face of the violence of the US-backed colonial entity. His funeral marked a victory; even in death, they fear the man and what he stood for.
More Israeli airstrikes have been reported on Tuesday, with two people killed in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley.
British Whitewashing Media Obfuscate The Truth Around Israeli Crimes.
The past week has shown us again the skin-deep nature of the so-called leaders, including Keir Starmer, and the establishment media's hypocrisy and shame. A man who has been portrayed as some sort of "champion" for human rights because he once had a position as a human rights lawyer.
The real Keir Starmer is not this; he is the man who said it was fine for Israel to enact a full siege of the Gaza Strip, “no water, no food, no electricity.
A "leader" that continued to support Israel in its genocidal campaign in Gaza and has remained silent in the face of the mass displacement of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories.
Who has remained silent on Israeli violations of the "ceasefire" agreements both in Lebanon and Gaza?
A "champion of human rights" who was unable or unwilling to call evidenced war crimes for what they were: crimes against humanity and who still won't call Israel's campaign for what it is, a genocide.
Curiously, Keir Starmer is also one of the most authoritarian PMs there has been, and he continues with the crackdowns on activists, journalists, and others. The media, especially during the days Ukraine was front and center, spoke up about how great the PM had been in his stance toward Russia.
This obfuscation of truth not only stops at how the media cover these topics; they openly censor their own content, as was seen with the filming of a documentary in Gaza detailing a young boy's life with his father as an official, showing how life really was for the people there, obviously showing too much of a human light on the Palestinians because it was later pulled by the BBC.
You can still find this documentary online; the BBC has removed it with a notice of 'further due diligence' before they decide what to do with it. They are failing to maintain the dehumanized narrative that had been built up around Palestinians over decades with the aid of the establishment media.
What Is the US’s Vision for the Occupied Territories? Could His Last Term in Office Show Give Us an Idea?
Although Trump may want to maintain the Gaza agreement, he seems to be waving the Israelis to go ahead with these plans in the West Bank; at least he has not actively rebuked the idea. If he were to push for an end to these operations, it would be surprising…
In the past, Donald Trump asked Netanyahu to accept plans in regard to the West Bank and plans for “annexation,” eerily similar to those set out by Bezalel Smotrich, Israeli finance minister; these plans laid out an “annexation” of land from under the Palestinians but with a “two-state solution” thrown in as a sweetener so a deal could be done.

“If the Trump plan is even partially embraced, this would demonstrate that the Israeli public has completely moved on from the failed thinking of the last many decades, pushed by the DC/European based peace process industry. They would have you believe that releasing a plan for peace after the Israeli public votes is a more democratic process? Really?
The release of this plan has the chance to inject the Israeli elections with much more relevance and give the Israeli public a say in the process and thereby avoid a 4th election” Oded Revivi Ex Mayor of Efrat and the ex Chief Foreign Envoy of the YESHA Council of Israeli Mayors in Judea & Samaria
If we are to believe this, it could point to the White House’s plan, with Israel preparing to take land in order for Trump to then offer up this deal as a solution to the overall situation with land annexed in the process.
This was laid out in a book published by the now president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and former senior aide… But it was also revealed that Trump himself nearly shelved the idea completely, but looking at the situation, it is all lining up, or so it would seem.
His ambassador to Israel also said “before annexation” they would need to set up a “joint committee” to discuss its future. This was on the 29th of January 2025. All of this was also labeled what he called was called the “Deal of the Century,” where Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved the US embassy there. It is all the same idea and on the same page with the Israeli ideas surrounding the West Bank. However unpredictability is a key feature of this President.
“I have a lot of issues going on right now,” Trump said, according to Kushner. “And this is not my top priority. I don’t want to do anything if Abbas says no. Set up a call with him. I’ll be able to tell by his tone if there’s a chance. Otherwise, let’s wait to release the plan at a later date and not waste our time.” Jared Kushner Memoir
Entering ‘A Brave New World’? Donald Trump’s Ascendancy to Office Sets Cat Among the Pigeons.
These schisms within the wider Western alliance has opened a sore for Europe with Donald Trump's shake-up surrounding Ukraine and the uncertainty surrounding the US’s place within the NATO alliance itself.
The UK now attempts to carve out a place for itself, a way to retain its relevancy in an ever-growing multipolar world where its relevancy, along with the NATO alliance, continues to come under scrutiny. Not only are they edging in a new vision for their military, but they are preparing the domestic stage for the coming years.
From the onset of Russia's operations in Ukraine, it was labeled a "war crime" by most establishment mouthpieces who regularly take to the airwaves with consistent slots to air their "anger," claiming a breach of international law and the norms of war.
When we attempt to apply this same sort of rigor in regard to how the West tackles these topics in comparison to West Asia with Israel's campaigns. The urgency of the situation falls away to the side; it becomes vague with platitudes of "there is too much suffering on both sides," as if the Israelis have to the same extent gone through a systematic genocidal campaign like that faced by the Palestinians. Backed and supported by the UK.
It's a lie; there are not two sides to this situation. When I say that, I mean there has not been a "war" with two forces at parity of sorts, if you will; it has been a full-fledged campaign of violence on the native population. Of course, those on the ground fighting the occupation held one of the most advanced conventional fighting forces in the world to a stalemate; the struggle for the liberation of Palestine continues…
Not only has the UK provided lethal aid and parts for weapons systems, but they also routinely fly “spy planes” over Palestine in an effort to aid the Israeli forces on the ground with real-time information. The Declassified UK team has been all over this, reporting only as recently as last month, January, when they reported on the continuation of these flights.
Condemnation of Russia was not slow in coming, nor was the physical support for Ukraine, but there's a reason as to why it's so readily given. It was never about an altruistic sense of duty; it was just convenient for the time.
Why then does it hurt so to point out the obvious surrounding Palestine?
Because it's not convenient for the UK to do so, it does not provide an opportunity in as much as it doesn't further the joint manufactured narrative surrounding Israel, the support it has received from the UK and wider West, and the bigger question surrounding its occupation. Similar to how the UK and the West neglected to speak up about what had truly been happening in the Donbass during the years when the People's Republics still remained part of Ukraine.
How they undermined the Minsk Accords and any chances at bringing an end to the situation in Ukraine before it reached the point to where we are at now is an egregious crime that the Ukrainians bear the brunt of. Generations sacrificed on the altar of Western and US exceptionalism. Although Zelensky was partially voted in to the office of Ukrainian president on a ticket of securing peace and an end to the growing violence in the Donbass.
Boris Johnson and others openly goaded Zelensky to continue on his path to war with Russia, condemning future generations of Ukrainians to fight a de facto NATO 'proxy' war against Russia.
Narrative is everything; it has been everything. But this is a new world. Maintaining the status quo and the narrative surrounding it is seemingly becoming an ever-increasingly precarious task as the future of NATO and the US's place in it hang in the balance, or so it would seem.
A pertinent question must be asked: if Trump and the US are ready to pull away from Europe completely, then why are US agencies beginning to take up their positions to help Europe develop these strategies for a new era? Including non-NATO neutral countries like, let's say, Ireland?
Recently it came to light that the Dublin government has brought onboard a US Department of Defence (DoD) agency to help build up Irish land, air, and sea capabilities. In the Report of the Commission on the Defence Forces (LINK)
With the new US president, it's hard to forecast what he will do, but if anyone is to walk away from NATO, it would probably be him. However, is the US truly willing to walk away from such a sphere of influence? Maybe, at least for the remainder of his term, if he were to decide to. But as you know, these administrations are part of revolving door systems that get new admins, new ideas, and visions coming and going from office every four-year term.
Behind these administrations are the ruling class, the oligarchs, and the financiers, those who pull on the strings, and if those coming to power toe the line of those ruling elites, they will remain, even if it serves to shake up things a bit. If it can serve a long-term or short-term goal, they will play ball.
How much uncertainty and chaos they are willing to go through with to achieve these goals is another question altogether.
